Voy a Explotar is the soon-to-be released film from El Revolcadero and Canana, the production film company of Gael Garcia Bernal and Diego Luna (Y Tu Mama Tambien). It’s a generational gem of two Mexican teens, Maru and Roman, frustrated by the reclusion of their parents and society, decide to take on an adventure; finding love as they make a pact, to stay together no matter what. But where can two angry kids go? Perhaps to the roof of their own house, as their relationship unfolds its beauty and tricks, they are revealing themselves to an adult world that doesn’t seem to understand them. It’s an explosive and demanding film, executed by Gerardo Naranjo with a powerful, bleak and energetic scope to visualize Maru and Roman, their brave and confused relationship and their fantasized stories.
The film’s music supervisor Lynn Fainchtein did an extraordinary job placing the right musical passages and songs at the most precise moments. Everything was settled for a commercially released soundtrack that features the music from the film, but it was passed on by several labels. With that said, this is my reinterpretation of the movie, through songs. This release is the official soundtrack of the film, which with the disposition and willingness of 22 different artists and their labels is available here, entirely for free. My initial idea to have a soundtrack with Mexican bands was put aside once realizing the narrative and themes of the movie are not exclusive for Mexico, but all Iberoamerica. Voy a Explotar opens yet another space for discussion, about rebelliousness, promises, our identity and the shared feeling that somehow, we had been forgotten by somebody out there.
This is an explosive shout for anyone willing to hear it, melodic and violent as the cinematic experience. These are the songs of Maru and Roman, and the details.

Yupi, guao!, en estos días justo fui a una fiesta de la película y yo ni sabía de que era...con los músicos de josé y otras bandas muy buenas...luego fue que supe y me dio mucha emoción, y la pasé muy bien!. Bueno, gracias, qué bien, quiero ver la película ya!!!!! Se ve muy interesante!. Es hermoso que todos podamos participar en cosas juntos y de calidad. Qué bien!.

Gracias por querer entrarle a esto! la peli se suponia que se estrenaba el 3 de Abril, por eso andaba como loquito apurando a todos estos lindisimos artistas jeje.
Pero la movieron a otra fecha, saldra con mas copias al cine, lo cual es una gran noticia.

Es muy extraña la historia entre este filme, yo y este blog junto con su canal en youtube, he aquí la mini historia:
Hace como dos meses me enteré de este filme, de su preparación de su historia, y hasta hace poco vi su trailer en telehit me parece que en el programa de cine de Kristoff, asi que decidí volver a verlo en Youtube, y despues publicar algo en mi blog acerca del filme, despues me empezó a conquistar los trozos de canciones que había en el trailer, y decidí buscar, asi es como dí con este blog interesante y con el tracklist soundtrack de la pelicula, despues trate de buscar algunos de los track en youtube y volví a dar con tu canal, coincidencias tan buenas, que me han hecho el día, justo igual que ayer.

i have to admit that i actually downloaded this record due to the amazing jovenees y sexys participation in this project, then i found javiera mena was tehre too, i also discovered juan son, teleradio donoso, afrodita, ulises hadjis, hello seahorse, etc etc etc and it is amazing, one the best things i've listened to this year. this is a proof of the music revolution we're having in iberoamerica, with all these economy breakdown stuff, nice and overwelming things are coming up!

Vi la peli este viernes aunq ya habia escuchado d ella desde hace un tiempo... y quiero decir q me encanto!!! muy buena visualmente... la historia super chida!! y no maaa casi me desmayo cuando casi al final ponen Untitled de Interpo (que tambien usan en el trailer pero no pense q incluyeran en la peli tmb) l!!! casi mueroo!! es una de mis bandas favoritas ...
